You are my sunshine

I always figured I had no business blogging.  Nothing important worth putting down and more so, nothing worth the time it would take to type let alone read.  That is until Boyd started to sing "You Are My Sunshine".  Then I knew it was time.  The time has come to record all those "little somethings" I don't want to ever forget because the truth is, I do.  I had forgotten how much Kat liked to sing the same song at that age until Keith reminded me.  Now each time I hear Boyd belt out "you make me haaappy" and "don't take my shunshine away" I also hear Kat's little toddler voice singing the same song at the top of her lungs and my heart smiles.  I have video of both kiddos belting it out, heads thrown back, eyes closed, arms up in the air making large gestures but the truth is, I'll likely never watch them.  I shot Kat's video on a video recorder we haven't used since 2005 and Boyd's video is on my phone.  Hard to say where those will end up.   So maybe by taking the time to blog, I'll also help keep those memories a little more fresh in my mind and I'll be less likely to forget them entirely.  And that will make what I write worth reading.  Or maybe not.
